FAQ
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Absolutely! I view each wedding as a unique event regardless of its location. I've photographed weddings in many different environments, from an Arctic blizzard to a remote Hawaiian lava field!
How will I receive my wedding photos?
Your wedding photos will be delivered in a custom online gallery. You can download the high resolution files or order prints directly through the gallery!
How many images will I receive?
For a standard 9 hour wedding package, expect to receive approximately 700 final images. The actual number will depend on your unique wedding needs.
How do I book you for my wedding?
Click "Inquire" in the menu to tell me about your wedding plans! To reserve your wedding date, you will need to provide a signed contract and retainer fee of 30% of your package cost.
What happens after I've booked?
We'll keep in touch through your wedding planning process. I'll review drafts of your wedding day timeline and advise on how we can achieve your wedding photography goals. You'll make a list of any "formal" group portraits (wedding party, family, etc) that you would like taken, so that we photograph the group portraits with your loved ones quickly and efficiently.
Will there be a second shooter?
A second shooter is available to book as an add-on. I generally recommend booking a second shooter for larger weddings or if you want coverage in multiple locations simultaneously, but we can discuss what the best fit is for your day.
When should photography coverage begin / end?
I generally advise starting photography coverage to accommodate at least an hour of getting ready time and ending your coverage after approximately a half hour of open dancing. We will together discuss the best timeline for your day, considering your photography preferences and wedding size.
What kind of gear do you use?
I shoot with Canon camera bodies and use Profoto lighting to supplement available light as needed. My primary camera is a Canon R5 (mirrorless) and I always have backup equipment on hand.
How do I order prints?
Your wedding photos will be delivered in an online gallery that facilitates simple and high quality print orders, but you are also welcome to use your high resolution print-ready image files and order prints on your own elsewhere.
Do you offer physical albums?
I do not currently offer physical albums
Do you photograph engagement shoots?
Yes! Contact me for a custom quote.
Will I receive the RAW files?
I do not consider RAW files to be a finished product, so they are not part of my deliverables.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I photographed my first wedding in 2010! For the first few years, I second and/or associate shot about 30 weddings a year in addition to photographing weddings for my own clients. During that time, I was lucky enough to work with many wedding photographers on worldwide "best of" lists. Seeing how many of the top wedding photographers in the world approached diverse situations helped me fine tune my own approach.
What do you love about photographing weddings?
I love that photographing weddings allows me to tell a story and calls for a wide variety of photography skills, from landscapes to portraits, in order to do so. Photographing such an important life event is one of the most directly meaningful types of photography work, which is of great value to me.
